Meet Raed Kasem, D.D.S., M.S.

Raed S. Kasem received his degree in General Dentistry at the University of Damascus, and received his Master of Science Degree in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He completed his specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Kasem is active in academics as an adjunct clinical assistant professor for the post graduate endodontic program at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  He also served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 1989 and 1991.  He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, Florida Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, American Dental Education Association; Dr. Kasem is a Past President of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association and a fellow of the American College of Dentists.  He is a frequent lecturer both nationally and internationally in surgical and non-surgical endodontics.

Dr. Kasem has invented two U.S. patents. His 1994 invention is titled “A Method to Reinforce Endodontically Treated Teeth and to Increase Post Retention”. His second invention was patented in 2006 and titled “Telescopic mirror attachment for medical, surgical and dental microscopes”.
